Ok I have been debating with myself for awhile whether I can even count this a fetish or I should just be posting in the deli.... looking for a particular escort.

Is this akin to "I need an escort with a big ass" or "I have a thing for feet"... Still not sure of the answer so here goes I think its closer to feet.

I've realized since hanging out on Karoake or Piano nights at my local bars that I am uber-turned on by men who can sing... OK we all know im the old romantic sod... but its true. Give me a guy who can sing to me and I'm immediately turned on. and not just in the Oh I want passionate romance way ... but in the OMG I want to fuck the living shit out of him way, as well.

So you see how I find this more the "Im turned on by feet" scenario.

So am I the only one with this predilection?

And can anyone advise of an escort who fits the bill... Not exactly like they advertise this one on rentboy. Looking for escort to come with me to piano bar and croon. LOL

When I was a student, first coming out, I used to meet guys through the personal ads in the Boston Phoenix, because I didn't like hanging out in the smoke-filled gay bars of Boston. So I met this guy who was a graduate student at the New England Conservatory of Music, in the vocal studies department. He was from Italy, a tenor, and a great top! And that great voice was a total turn-on....!

Interesting concept!

I am uber-turned on by men who can sing...
Shoot... that is such a freaking HOT concept... a new fetish for certain... and I never really thought of it as a fetish...

However, there was one guy who did have a separate career as a singer and actually had cut an album and even made a music video. He did give e a copy of his album and he did sing during a few of our sessions. In fact, he even gave me a preview of the new album he was working on. Of course the fact that he had the body of a Greek god probably distracted me from being turned on by his singing... but in retrospect that was indeed part of the fascination... I recall having a discussion about vocal production in the middle of one of our meetings... specifically about the use of head voice. Too bad he moved out of the area...

He was from Italy, a tenor, and a great top! And that great voice was a total turn-on....!
Now that sounds HOT as well! Hopefully he looked more like Franco Corelli than Luciano Pavarotti!

Looking for escort to come with me to piano bar and croon. LOL
I certainly can relate... I am always looking for an escort who would want to come the the bondage club and "bond" as well!

Know of any?

Tomcat -- escort? No. But if I were you I'd try to maybe try to hang around Julliard or Manhattan School of Music or the Mannes School of Music. You know my past, and maybe times have changed (but I HIGHLY doubt it), but there were always more than a few hot singers when I was at Hartt (and met others at New England Conservatory and B.U. as well). I've said it before, being gay at a conservatory is about as unusual as being left-handed. And we singers will normally sing for our supper. Besides, I'll sing for you anytime, anyplace, you know that. :)

When I was in school a local restaurant (actually the franchisee of The Chart House), hired a lot of the guys and ladies from the vocal department as wait staff. Why more places don't do that, I don't know, but their business boomed when people knew they could bring their loved one/friend there for a birthday dinner and have Happy Birthday sung by voice students who were more than willing to belt it out. Occasionally they'd sing other things too. It drew others in just to hear it because they knew, especially on a weekend, they would hear some good young voices, if only for a brief while. It beats the usual "H.B." you get at most restaurants.

And from experience, if you can go as a group of singers into a piano bar, you'll never have to buy your own drinks. We did that one time after a Christmas gig. Four of us, dressed in our formal attire, stopped in. The patrons asked why four college-aged "penguins" were there, we told them and they asked us to sing some Christmas carols and we moved on from there. It may have been the most plastered I have ever been in my entire life -- and we didn't buy a drink ourselves.

You may also want to spend some time looking around the opera world for the Hunkentenors and the Barihunks. There are moe than a few really "fine" looking guys out there now. Stephen Costello, Nathan Gunn, Brandon Jovanovich and a slew of others can come to my home anytime they want. And they can SING.

Just FWIW.

I think the word fetish is somewhat over-used. The psychologists would say that it's a sexual attraction to a non-genital body part but that seems to me to be of very little value for it seems to say that any sexual attraction felt for any non-genital part of the body is somehow not quite right or normal. But I'd venture a guess that way more than half of us find a beautiful face to be attractive and an ugly one to be a turn-off. When one sees a beautiful face, with a beautiful smile and beautiful eyes, is one experiencing a normal human emotion or is one somehow engaging in a fetish? If a straight man looks at a beautiful woman walking by and says "Wow, look at those legs!" -- certainly a common experience -- is he acting normally or engaging in a fetish? Taking that example and applying it to both sexes, if one is attracted to one's partner's genitals, then in theory that is "normal". Is it also "normal" to be attracted to beautiful legs? Or does that become a fetish? Going down a few inches more, one reaches one's partner's feet and suddenly normal attraction somehow becomes a fetish -- something that is viewed with amusement or, sometimes, derision. Or going the other direction, if one is attracted to a woman's chest, which is a non-genital area, is that a fetish? How about to a man's chest? And if we move three inches to the right or left and reach the armpits, is that normal or a fetish?

My point is that we are extremely varied in the ways that we see, feel and exhibit sexual attraction. The term 'fetish' implies some sort of pathology but I think that the wide variety of sexual attraction exhibited by healthy adults is actually quite normal and healthy. I see no substantial difference at all between being attracted to one's partner's genitals, legs, feet, chests, hands or whatever. In the end, sexual attraction is located in the mind and the relevant body part or parts are simply the impetus that gets the whole thing rolling.

A local Chart House did that quite a number of years ago... could our paths have crossed way back when!!!???

...and a slew of others can come to my home anytime they want.

Add Erwin Schrott to the list...

Hey Whipped --

This Chart House was in Simsbury, CT in a beautiful old toll house. We went there after my audition to school (well that should tell you what school). Winter night, upstairs seated by a fireplace in a 17th-18th century toll house. The later expanded a bit and the guys (and girls) from school made a LOT of good money during school that way. Not your typical wait staff tips at an IHOP. Of course this was back in the 70's. The 1870's I think :)

But now I'm pissed, before I posted it, I was seeing E.S's picture in my head and I was wracking my brain but the damned name wouldn't come in, for some damn reason. But, yes, you can certain add Erwin Schrott to my list any day of the week you would like.

And now the links. Here's the link to the Hunkentenor blog:

And the link for the barihunks blog:

And please make sure you look at the hunkentenor blog and scroll down a bit for the nude photos of Zachary Stains. Impressive. Anywhere, anytime. :)
