... that there is

a) no longer a Numbers bar to visit and "window-shop"?

b) no more any place to see go-go boys in thongs?

The last time I went I wasn't willing to stay up until all hours to see go-go boys and fondly recall seeing them at reasonable hours at Micky's on weekdays. ( I lived through a golden age and didn't know it!)

I'm going to the Hollywood/WeHo area soon, and I'll probably just cross WeHo off my list of places to see if neither of these things is there.

Numbers is closed. BUT you are mistaken about Mickey's. At least it does often have go go boys in the early evening as well as later. Most wear bikinis rather than thongs.

Any idea what the official hours are for go-go dancers at Mickey's? There were times when I could pass by around 5PM or so on any given week night and they would have one or two dancers rotating shifts every half hour or so - happy hour, I guess. This was great because it is much easier to score a parking spot at that time and the bar is relatively empty so you could actually get some quality time oggling and talking to the dancers before packs form around them. This was the case last fall. (I think I even saw Kristian dancing there once.) Then I left LA for the winter and when I returned in the spring there was nary a happy hour dancer to be found there. I've been gone again for the summer and I'm about to return there and I sure would like to see some early evening eye candy there again. But they certainly never advertise any regular routine. And yes, I know from Thursday thru the weekend they feature beautiful go-go boys during their late night dance clubs, but by then the place is too crowded to move, much less get close to a dancer. And forget parking anywhere reasonable. There's a place in Silverlake called MJ's - anyone know if they have dancers?
