I started a thread in the Lounge about this, but then thought to mention it here as well for all the fetishists among us - Justin Spring's new bio of Samuel Steward, who might be called the patron saint of gay fetishists. Steward, based for most of his life in Chicago, by day a mild-mannered college English professor, by night a gay adventurer, tattoo artist, S/M bottom with a consuming fetish for guys in uniform, confidant about gay life for Dr. Alfred Kinsey, friend of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, highly literary pornographer.... The book's a great read.
