All Worlds Resort & CCBC in Palm Springs Area

OK... I'm headed for the desert this weekend. I've never been to any of the gay resorts, and I'm not staying at one this time either, but I understand that you can get a day pass to most of them. Both CCBC and All Worlds Resort are having "events," like porn shoots and Mr. Nude ____ contests.

 

Has anyone ever been to either of these resorts, and to one of their events? Can you provide some details? What goes on? Can you take photos? Are there locker facilities?

CCBC is having a chub & chaser event not a porn shoot ( I am on their mailing list). The place is friendly, the few timers I have been there there was no problem taking pics. They have a web site, though I cannot find the link at this time.

CCBC's "Events" page isn't showing anything about a Chub/Chaser party. They're listing "Mr. Nude Palm Springs" on Saturday.

Two "Mr. Nude ___" contests within two hours of each other? Do you think there will be enough potential contestants?

OK... so I went to both-- CCBC on Saturday and AWR on Sunday.

 

I went to the Mr. Nude Palm Springs contest at CCBC-- it was fun, and there were a LOT of people there, and a lot of them were taking full advantage of the "clothing optional" policy. There were 9 contestants in the "pageant," and they came out in swimsuit, then nude, then the ubiquitous "question" competition. I'm sure they'll have pictures up on their website shortly.

 

Now-- AWR-- well, folks, even though I live in L.A., I saw something I've never seen before -- a live porno video shoot! It was pretty interesting, especially to someone like me who's a fairly avid consumer of the product!

 

They had three models: Steve O'Donnell, Chad Knight and Court Logan (who was introduced to us a "the bottom.") They taped outdoors, poolside, and there were probably 50-75 people watching (it varied as people came and went.) Those in front were no more than 15 feet from the action. AND the most amazing thing was they let the audience take pictures! (Still only, and no flash.)

 

It was quite intersting to see how the scene went together. There was one guy on the crew whose only duty appeared to be dispensing lube and handing out condoms. The director ("Peter Goesinya") was very accommodating-- whenever there was a "break in the action," he came over to see if anyone in the audience had any questions.

 

Anyway, they have these video shoots fairly often, and for the cost of a day pass ($12) you can watch! They also had a free barbecue, so it was like lunch AND a show! :9
