This would be freakin' scary to be caught in.

Pity the woman at :50 sec. Ouch!

Wow. I have been on a few cruises and had some relatively rough seas but this is ridiculous.

Thanks for the link.

Best regards,

Interesting how the camera was so steady. I wonder where it was mounted?

Was supposedly one of the ship's closed-circuit cameras.

Thanks for posting that, Duchess. I've been on quite a few cruises (over 30), however I've never seen or experienced something similar. I remember very rough seas like the Transatlantic crossing (the Atlantic can be pretty rough at times) or the route between Hawaii and the Fanning Islands (Kiribati) in the open Pacific ocean. The ship was rocking so hard and crazy that one needed to hold on to something tight. Many passengers got seasick. That being said the most impressive and unexpected incident happened in Venice when crossing the very narrow Lido channel between St. Mark's Square and Giudecca Island.

The ship had to operate an urgent manoeuvre and a tight turn was required in order to avoid the sandbank. It was quite impressive and sudden as the ship leaned sharply to one side. Needless to say on the Sun Deck the swimming pools and the jacuzzi lost half of the water ... Still the images caught on the CCTV camera above are quite impressive. I feel bad for the woman who banged her head in that pillar at 0:48
