I really don't think it's right to "out" people against their will, but I have to admit there are lots people I wonder about. Do you think famous people should be dragged out of the closet? How many of them do you think are on this site right now?

As a product of San Francisco in the late 70s and 80s, my thought on outing people is only doing it in the event some noteable (like a politician) or other famous person is harming the community. Famous people have families, friends and a support network. No need to cut a wide swath and offend large numbers of people by our actions unless desperate measures are called for. Besides, who can know for sure except the person in question?

 

As to celebrities lurking here, doubtful. Perhaps a few politicians. Most of the gay politicians I know have exactly zero trouble finding attractive and willing bedmates. There have been rumors since the dawn of time about one particular porn studio making their models available at their expense to any closeted actor who asks. (I consider this to be a trumor, as someone I know well was a model involved in this setup. He got a BMW out of the deal.) Over the years, I've asked a number of higher profile escorts I've known well who they've done that's famous. Few noteables have turned up. (A few years ago, the Las Vegas crowd seemed to have wider experiences with Larger Than Life type people.)

 

This does raise an interesting question: About how many unique people visit this site daily/weekly/monthly? I believe about 975 are registered, but, I'd guess there are probably vast numbers of people who stop by irregularly when horny. Can anyone share some Actual Statistics?

This issue has been discussed in a variety of forums. In general, the wise answer is that famous people who speak out against gay people and gay rights should be outed, and others should be left alone. Privacy should be respected unless hypocrisy rears its ugly head. In other words, your private life is private until you start to tell me how to lead mine.

Basically I agree with you - but don't we all love to speculate aloud? I, for one, am fond of voicing my doubts about Messrs Cruise, Afleck, Damon and others. Not quite the same as outing but getting close, no?

Don't know - J Lo holds zero interest for me. But it wouldn't be the first time a Hollywood heart throb has linked himself to a bitch in heat to throw a smoke screen up around himself. Not saying this is the case here - but who knows.

I am very against outing. I have been developing a relationship with a celeb for the past year and have experienced first hand the probems that Hollywood's double standard creates. I have also seen many of the screen's current male stars step out of the closet for the evening. I am almost to the point of trying to guess who isn't.
