I have heard so many great things about this city. I am heading up there this coming weekend, anything I must check out while I am there? I have a few food and wine tours lined up, but would love someone to hear from anyone who has been there before.

Thanks guys ;)

Enjoy... It's Wonderful

Noah,

I hope you hear from some of the guys who work and live in Seattle, but if you have time you also might want to take a jaunt via boat to Victoria on the Canadian side or up to Vancouver. You might even touch base with Juan in Vancouver!

Be sure to spend some time at the Pike's Peak Market, and perhaps the ferry to Tillicum Island for the Alder cooked Salmon Dinner and show. A trip to the Boeing factory is also pretty spectacular. Watching the new Dreamliner being assembled, along with 747 and other planes is pretty spectacular. In addition to the usual public tours, there are some more "private" ones where you have to submit SS numbers in order to be cleared in advance, but check that out to see if that is still possible.

This is a beautiful time to be in Seattle. I have never lived there, but business used to bring me there several times a year, and I always enjoyed my time there.

Have fun and give us a report!

I believe you mean Pike Place Market. Pike's Peak is in CO. :) Definitely worth a visit to see the flinging of the fish. There's also a really interesting underground tour that originates there.

The Experience Music Project (similar to the R&R Hall of Fame in Cleveland) and attached SciFi museum is interesting if you're into either music or SciFi. (Next to the Space Needle.)

One of the things I'm told is great fun is the duck boat tour. If you can't make one of those, there are a number of other boat tours, a cool way to see the skyline (weather permitting).

And, of course, there's Daddy. He might enjoy a dinner invitation.

I was in Seattle a few weeks ago for the first time since I was a child. I was in meetings most of the time and I wish I had had a few extra days. Do the Space Needle. It is fun. See the new library for its architecture. Walk around downtown.

If I had had more time I would have gone to some of the islands and perhaps rented a car and driven to Port Townsand.
