I saw on TV an info-commercial for this product and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. How would it compare with the drug Viagra? After listening to all the testimonials for Maximus, I was curious if it really did what they say. Has anyone tried other products that help stimulate?

RE: MAXIMUS, DRIVE.

Hi Cooper!:7

I too find the advertisment fascinating in it's claims.(I love infomercials and this one is better than Ron Popiel's Showtime) They have an online manual here:

http://www.maximusx.com/manual/index.htm

I couldn't get it to open. Maybe they're busy. Maybe they're hucksters knowing most guys would be too embarassed to request their money back....If it worked like they claim I think the price would be higher.

PS The subject 'title' became too long to respond. I had to reduce it.

Viagra does not, repeat: NOT, increase your sex drive. All it does is enable a normal erection. If there's no sex drive there to begin with, Viagra is not going to provide it. I don't know anything about Maximus. I do know that traditional medicine in all cultures has prescribed such things, and still does. But I don't know if they work. In my experience, long exposure to high doses of anti-depressants (SRI's, at any rate) will practically obliterate your libido. The problem is that you will know it's gone and will want to do anything to recover it. If that's your situation, send me a private message and I'll tell you more about my experiences. Of course, hypertension medication will do the same thing. And if you have BOTH high blood pressure and chronic depression, you may feel like an orphaned child of Venus.

Hey Les,

Not only do you provide us with outstanding pix, but this web-site is too much!:-) They call themselves "the Penile Specialists" and offer you a "free penis enlargement and enhancement manual". Some of the advice they offer you on "techniques" is truly a new approach to a morning work out. I've got to try that "hot towel" method...

Thanks again, I'll get back to you on the results. :p

Good points, Will. Add diabetes to the mix and the results can be drastic. I had trouble with erections and very low libido for years, not to mention significant depression. I tried several antidepressants: none worked for the depression and most made the other problems worse!

Finally I persuaded my MD to check my testosterone level. It ended up being low, and when we treated that, I had a huge improvement in my depression---it's practically entirely gone! My libido has returned and I had marked improvement in my erections. Add a little viagra and things are MUCH better. ;-) Testosterone is a powerful controlled "drug", and is not to be used carelessly, but it some men---as in my case---low levels can not only affect libido and erections, it can also cause significant depression.

Hope this info is useful!

Thanks, that's very encouraging. There's an interesting pair of Letters to the Editor in the latest NEW YORKER about testosterone and depression. It's odd to me -- and a little irritating -- that no doctor has ever raised the issue with me. Not even my youthful male internist.
