I saw an excellend production of "A Winter's Tale" on a glorious summer evening the other night in Central Park. The weather was perfect and the show very good, despite an odd review by Ben brantley in the NY Times.

Of note in this production is actor Hamish Linklater, who has been mentioned before on the forum, and plays the role of the roughish Autolycus. He arrives on stage wearijng a tee-shirt and a pair of one-size too small long johns which end at the pubic hair line! And yes, a few minutes later he moons the audience!

I am hoping to see The Merhcant of Venice with Al Pacino before the end of the month, but right now I am planning on escaping this dreadful heatwave that has overtaken the city and promises to push temperatures towards 100!

Stay cool!
