I know there's a good many out there that have no interest in real football aka soccer. But the performance of the USA squad is of historic proportions. We've faced bad referees and blatant fouls by opposing players and still the team keeps pulling out a win just when all seems lost. Landon Donovan's goal in the 90th minute of the game was incredible.

I have just read that Obama called the US soccer team and congratulated on their performance. Also exchanged some ideas with Landon Donovan. The guys truly deserve to be complimented on their performance, so far they have been doing great!!!! Bill Clinton arrived for their last group match and he decided to extend his stay because the team has proceeded so he is going to watch the guys in person against Ghana. Hopefully he will be smiling at the final whistle
