Just finished the book and it was so inspiring. I cried :o. We all have only limited time and let's make the best out of our life. Anyways, you can see his last lecture on youtube. Kisses and hugs~~ :)

and you can find more info on the book at

"On September 18, 2007, computer science professor Randy Pausch stepped in front of an audience of 400 people at Carnegie Mellon University to deliver a last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” With slides of his CT scans beaming out to the audience, Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months. On the stage that day, Randy was youthful, energetic, handsome, often cheerfully, darkly funny. He seemed invincible. But this was a brief moment, as he himself acknowledged.

Randy’s lecture has become a phenomenon, as has the book he wrote based on the same principles, celebrating the dreams we all strive to make realities. Sadly, Randy lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on July 25th, 2008, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all, for generations to come."

Thanks "Greatness"...

The last few words of his lecture say it all: I encourage you to take the person who's happiness (and I hope you have one in your life) is more important than your own and do something fun and with childlike enthusiasm.

That is a wonderful challenge! God Bless Randy Pausch and the loved ones he left behind.

I've watched the video many times and find it very moving and inspirational. Thanks for the post and I will go out and get the book today.

Randy reminds us how precious our short time on this earth is and also not only how important it is how we live our lives, but how we live out the final time when it arrives. I would like to think that I would live my final days with a similar type of composure, attitude and apparent peace as Randy but to be honest I don't know if that would be the case.

I have wondered several times when I contemplate life if it would be better to know you only have so much time left or for the end to come quickly and unexpectedly. I guess alot depends on how much has been left unsaid and undone.

Live Life Like You're Dying Tomorrow...

I watched the "Last Lecture" this afternoon. It's probably the single most meaningful, beneficial and useful video I've ever watched online. Thanks for sharing this.
