Tenancy lawyer in NYC?

This board was so helpful when I asked about probate lawyers a while back, I figured I'd bring my next question here:

 

Are there any real estate or tenancy lawyers who could answer a few questions? The unit is a rental in NYC but neither rent-controlled nor stabilized if that makes a difference.

There is an advocacy group, Tenants and Neighbors, here in NYC that might provide you with assistance. Their contact info is on their website and they routinely provide the names of lawyers who specialize in tenant/landlord conflicts. (You may have seen their MNN cable TV show on Time Warner)

If this does not work, email me privately and I can give you the name and contact info for my own personal lawyer who, aside from his private practice, is a judge in NYC housing court. He may be able to recommend a collegue.

Personally, no matter how reliable a recommendation might be online, by an anonymous poster, who once asked for guidance, in picking out his very own personal underwear, I'd seek out guidance elsewhere...

 

That's not to say that this recommendation is not worth checking out.
