I will take my share of responsibility for this thread going haywire. I do appreciate the supportive comments.

 

Having survived here for ten years is proof enough that I have a thick skin and I have no doubts that I can continue to weather any barbs thrown at me. That's not an invitation! ChgBoy and I will undoubtedly end up the best of friends at some point.

 

In the course of all of this, I have had conversations with several people that have actually brought us closer, so I do look forward to getting along well here.

 

As for the moderator position, I am in conversation with Daddy about that. He feels that I should have stayed with the position for at least a year, and I do admit that the success of the Arts Forum is a cause near and dear to me. So we will probably work that out so that we are both satisfied.

 

Now it would be fine with me if this thread came to a close, but you know how those things go.

Every board that I have experienced seems to have some members who love to play the "I'm leaving and fuck you" card. If the departing member is relatively new to the board, most other members simply laugh and reply, "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out." When a 10-year veteran starts a thread to announce his departure and manipulates the board by offering cryptic reasons, one has to wonder about motive and intent. Nobody likes to feel manipulated unless the act of manipulation is fun or interesting, which in this case was neither. When the board is finally told the real reasons for the (non) drama, some of us simply shake our heads and wonder was any of this nonsense really necessary?

 

Taking responsibility is good but actions speak louder than words. The board will have to wait and see how you handle yourself in the future.

This is true. But people looking to create drama where no drama exists, trying to lure people into a mystery that is banal and boring, are simply annoying manipulators or worse, mediocre writers. You can do better, Lucky.

How about showing some respect to Daddy and keeping this board politic-stuff private, between you and Daddy? If you really care about this board and the people (person) who run it, your on-board behavior should reflect that.

 

Many of us don't care about the silly politics of this tiny penis of a sandbox. Considering what's going on the world, the childish crap that goes on here is just stupid shit. I would like to suggest that you keep the stupid shit off the board and stick to hot boys and entertainment reviews. The words deej, Daddy, and moderator don't give any of us a hardon.
