Spitzer has ahd prominence of all types. He lives badly in shadows. He has many connections and great wealth and intelligence and heavy hands and he will use them to return to a vsible place in CNN or elsewhere. His fierce agressiveness has many enemies and perhaps will prevent him

...prevent him from what? You let us hanging there! I am a fan of Spitzer and hope he returns to politics. New York could use him right now. His hiring of hookers was between him and his wife, not our concern.

Are you kidding me?

Many New Yorkers prefer that he stay away.

Elliot Spitzer has some intelligence. He also seems to have a serious personality disorder. He may even be a sex addict (nothing new around here). He certainly knows how to destroy things of value. Many reputable business leaders consider him to be evil and spiteful: a megalomaniac who sets out to destroy innocent people. It is said that Elliot Spitzer did all his dirty deeds for political gain and personal pleasure. Spitzer's ego makes Trump look humble. Elliot Spitzer is a morally bankrupt, dangerous man with a lot of ethical problems. He's not someone who deserves our admiration.

His hiring of hookers was between him and his wife, not our concern.

Tell that to the escorts and the escort establishments he put in jail during his tenure as District Attorney. Elliot Spitzer is a hypocrite. In fact, he's the worse kind of hypocrite: one minute he pays you to suck his cock, the next minute he cuffs you and sends you off to jail for sucking his cock. Pathetic.

...from returning to a visible place with the use of his strong methods.

You and Rock Hard are the two opposite poles of opinion in NY. I think that at present the view of Rock Hard has the more supporters.

Spitzer

I used to admire Elliot Spitzer's work, but was very disappointed by his hypocrisy. Though his signature issue was pursuing Wall Street misdeeds, as attorney general, Mr. Spitzer also had prosecuted at least two female escort agencies as head of the state’s organized crime task force. And then Eliot Spitzer is caught arranging to meet with prostitutes (hired through agencies), himself. What a huge hypocrite this guy is!

In addition, Bill Kristol - Weekly Standard editor - is touting her to run for the Republican Senate nomination in New York against Senator Chuck Schumer. That would be for 2012.

For those who don't know, she's married to Dan Senor who was an aide to Dick Cheney for about five years, particularly during the early part of the Iraq war.

Brown does not have a reason to be happy for the support of Kristol leading rightist fanatic neocon chicken hawk worshipper of Palin second in insanity to his father only. Google says very much about him. Is this too much politics for the Lounge?

Thank you for not seeing a rhtorical question only. The question remains what to do when a post follows logically the preceding but makes the thread pass from not political to political. Continue and risk the lock? Abandon? Pass it to the other forum with 'previously on' like the TV series? If this is too trivial please do not reply.

Ha ha! I think that's a good idea. :)

You might also let folks in the original thread know that you're about to get political, so you're going to start a new thread in the Politics Forum. That way, they'll know where to go look for your next comments. Even better, give us a link to to the new thread.

I'm never sure what the exact words are that get a thread moved into the Politics Forum, but I do know that you always have good stuff to say, so I'd recommend covering your bases.

(Be forewarned though that some folks never venture into the Politics Forum, so you may lose some viewers. I think some really good stuff gets posted there these days, and it's not nearly as unpleasant as it used to be. I hope that some will give it a second look.)

Anyway, I think you asked a useful question, and others may have better suggestions.
