Big article in the paper this morning reporting that Fleet Week in Fort Lauderdale will begin on Monday. Ten U.S. Navy ships of various sizes and shapes will sail into the port and disembark 2500 cute young sailors for ten days of shore leave. There is no Air and Sea Show this year, so there are fewer diversions.

These are boys far from home, bored with life on ship, lonely, and looking for some fun and excitement and new adventures. Like all young animals, they respond well to attention, kindness, and treats.

You can't tour the ships because of "security," but no restrictions on playing with the cute young sailors.
