I suggested a separate thread so I guess I should start one so as to move from the discussion of David and Romann. As the electronic age continues to evolve and will continue to do so, what is the best way for gentleman to get the word out about himself, what he offers, but remain appealing to the masses.

 

I think in general we began developing a taste or appeal to a style of what gets us off or need by discreetly looking at pictures. Mainly because this was the most readily available form, then written stories, then maybe porn, then looking at ads. I think our age and location has a great deal to do with what appeals to us as well.

 

I have recently upgraded my home electronics including a great new HP laptop, 42" plasma tv and I am using my older computer as a permanent connection to my plasma TV so I can surf the net while watching on the plasma. About the only thing I have not done is upgrade my cell phone, yet. I still use mainly as a phone, not a communication device or "beam me up Scotty" activity.

 

So

Well said. There seems to be a common belief on these boards that being an escort is a lot like running a small business. I think that's very true, so perhaps escorts should become more acquainted with the idea of a lost leader.

I'm not sure that a "lost leader" approach would result in a positive outcome. The escort would need to lure you in cheap and swap out some more expensive services to work it to his advantage (). I think there a number of not well reviewed escorts who already practice this technique.

 

Maybe a customer loyalty card, where the escort punches for each session and the 8th one is fee.....or maybe "frequesnt flier miles" where each clients account accumulates points until you get to ride for free (certain restictions apply). That way the correct client behavior is rewarded.....

 

We have already seen many instances of seasonal/economic sales taking place....maybe we need an escort cooperative where all the members provide a living and share the benefits. Perhaps too far?

 

For me the pros and cons of advertising and videos is a trade off between wanting to be surprised with the encounter and wanting to see what I'm getting before hand.....Very much like, when dining out, do you look on-line to check out the menu and pick out what you will order or do you go and see the choices at the restaurant?....I go both ways but I'm try real hard to offer my life more surprises and less planned events.

 

Last thoughts: I have found no greater enjoyment than when a escort greets me and his personality is wrapped around the pictures I have seen of him. That it think results in so many reviews where the escort is "even better than is pictures"....Something I used to think was a worn out cliche until I started experiencing it myself.

Video - Good Idea!

 

I think seeing a video of a potential hire is a great idea. My most enjoyable experiences have been when I've made a "connection" with an escort that goes beyond his appearance and cock size and any particular "activity". It's usually because I enjoy their personality, humor, flirting and natural sexiness. I've been disappointed when a physically perfect escort has the personality of a dead fish - something you can't tell from just pictures. Most of the escort "interviews" (ones that are not explicit) are viewable for free. I wish more of the top escorts would post a video to help the selection process. After all, IMOP, the best experiences come from getting what you expect with a few extra positive sexy surprizes thrown in.
