Again, let's keep the discussion focused on the issue at hand rather than trying to divert attention away from it. The reason that this issue has cropped up in the Roman Catholic Church so heavily is that..FOR THE FIRST TIME... Catholic priests are going to be held responsible for their actions by the heirarchy of the Church. This is unprecendented. Normally the higher-ups sweep it under the rug and tell the victims to ask for forgeiveness, which was even done recently.
