I believe I mentioned a few months ago that I had a client who had cancer. I meant to share this sooner, but I've been very busy with my new business venture.

Well, he died in early March, just a couple of weeks after I last saw him.

The last couple of times I saw him, it wasn't so much about the sex. He just wanted to be held.

DEATHS AND FUNERALS

The Rev. XXXXXXXXXXX, 71, of Columbus for the past six years, died Sunday, March 3, 2002 at his residence. He was an active Episcopal Priest and most recently a Hospice Spiritual Caregiver. He was a pro-active change agent working for justice and reform. He focused on homelessness, hunger, hospice, A.I.D.S., and human rights.

He was a true inspiration to me, not only for how he lived his life, but also for how he faced death. He told me that he had lived a good life, but if it was time to go, it was time to go.

He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2000. He did chemo for a while, but decided to stop when it was keeping him from doing the things he enjoyed. The last year of his life was spent traveling the world. He would get blood transfusions and steroid shots and keep on going.

I feel fortunate to have met this wonderful man. I know he touched the lives of many. He will be missed.

He sounds like a great guy, Jeff. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but it sounds like he ended things on the right note.

My deepest sympathies as well. From the way you have described him I know you will miss him warmth and humanity terribly. I am sure your community is equally bereaved.

Jeff,

I add my condolences to the growing list and I salute you for adding a measure of peace and love and humanity to this man's last days. You said your last visit mostly involved "holding"; sometimes there is more nuture there than anywhere. I'm sure you were both blessed to find each other and share an emotional and sexual place in this world. What could be nicer?

Sincerely,

Hey Jeff,

I am sorry for your loss.

I celebrate your willingness to share the feeling that sometimes develops between a caring escort and a client who becomes a friend.

Peace,

Jimmer

Thanks guys! He was one of several regular clients whose company I truly enjoyed. Around Christmas he wasn't feeling well, but he surprised me one day when he stopped by to drop off some cookies in a Christmas tin. Just the kind of guy he was.

Also, thanks to all of you who supported me on the Matt Rush thread.

You are the rare breed of Escort we all seek. I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds as if you had a mutually beneficial relationship outside of the monetary rhelm.

You were God's blessing to him.
