Kim Yu Na's performance was awesome. Asuda was good too but Kim set a new world and olympic record so unless she falls in the free style program she will win gold. Yu Na was so elegant and her moves were so sexy. Well done :)

NBC should be ashamed of themselves for not showing these games live. And it has reflected in the ratings. In the coveted 18-49 category the ratings have failed miserably. Young people are finding it elsewhere because NBC is choosing not to show it live. The majority of the viewers are above 50 in age and that is not favored by the advertisers. That means they are going to have to change their approach to broadcasting the Olympics going forward.

I don't understand?

What happens if the athletes are from California.. Their friends are not allowed to watch the games live because of a company policy? Other foreign countries broadcast the games live even during the day or late at night. NBC should be ashamed.

You'll get no disagreement from me, but it was said after Torino and Beijing too and nothing has changed.

You can get more timely results by following selected athletes on Twitter but then why bother watching?

NBC SUX.

And not to harp on the little things, but am I the only one that is truly annoyed at having to view the NBC logo with the Olympic rings plastered across the screen - not just during the games but also during every other program for the two years leading up to them? Though NBC is certainly not the worst offender. If you watch Bravo or Lifetime TV for Women and Gay Men they basically have promos for upcoming movies running at the bottom of screen.

Whatever happened to being able to just, you know, watch a show? Remember when the only interruptions were the commercials? Pretty soon we're going to be seeing commercials and promos running picture in picture during the main attraction.

Rant over.

Oh, but to the point of the thread, I thought there were a number of excellent performances and it was so nice to see all the girls skate really well and have the best one win. A pretty strong showing from the American girls as well. but mostly, I was very happy to see the Canadian girl do so well after losing her mother only days ago. Poor thing.

I, too, admire this young woman's tenacity and courage. Her poise and persistence in the face of adversity is truly remarkable. I would have loved for her to have won the Gold. She is a true Champion!
