Smart Phones

So I don't have one yet--but I understand a lot of people buy things over the internet on them. I have never heard of an antivirus program or a firewall made for smart phones. Are there any? If not are people who enter their credit cards and identity info at risk?

ANY online purchase puts you at risk, whether by smart phone or on a PC. It's just like sex: there is no truly safe sex, there is only safer sex.

 

The only purchases I make from my phone are with merchants where I have an established account and they have my card information on file. But that's just me. (I should also point out that too few websites are actually usable on smartphones.)

 

I've seen relatively little in the trade press on this issue and you'd think there would be a lot if there was a really big issue.
