OK, it isn't about sex and it isn't about escorts.

But one of the best voices of our lifetime is gone. I'm very sad.

I had the privilege of seening Rosemary Clooney perform at a cabaret in NYC a few years ago and it was thrilling. Yes, she was older and the voice didn't have the same quality, but the song stylings did. That lady (and I DO mean lady!) could make you "feel" a song.

She was always a class act. She will be missed.

She was great...even gave a boost to her nephew George who is not quite as talented. :7

Thanks for the link to the Washington Post tribute. I am a big Clooney fan and enjoyed the article though I read it with a lump in my throat. She always had a way with the tunes that moved me and usually no matter how many times I had heard a song she taught me the lyric. Every song she sang I felt I was really hearing it for the first time...can't say that about anyone else.

Thanks again,

I only saw Clooney in person once, but it was a memorable experience.

She performed a series of songs associated with Sinatra shortly after

his death at Carneige Hall. Clooney was in a somber mood and sang all the sad songs. As always, she got the mood just right. The funeral

will be on Friday in Kentucky, with a closed service Wednesday night in Beverly Hills.
