Significance of red body color??

Three times I have hired bodybuilder-type escorts who showed up with a pronounced reddish or dark pink body color, much like a sun burn but all over the body. I suspect that the color somes from some combination of HIV drugs and legal steroids. All three had the hardness of body (especially the butt) which is found in someone currently taking steroids. One of them much later confirmed that he is positive, and I continue to suspect the other two are. They are still in the business but I have not hired them again.

Has anyone else encountered the red color?

merlin, I have Googled this and cannot find much to support it. Among other possibilities, it could be a tanning agent, could be rosacea, could be a sunburn, or could be high hemoglobin, and that can be associated with overuse of anabolic steroids. So it is hard to come by a certain answer.

Many young gay men use anabolic steroids as the pressure is on to have a hot body, so it is not a surprise that an escort might also go for that look.

 

I didn't find anything associating it with HIV.
