It's a chic flick

You don't have to see it unless you are into chick flicks. I was dragged to see it. I didn't like it and glad that I didn't have to pay for it. Although the first movie did have a lot of great designer outfits, shoes and accessories, the movie fail to show that the true value of a person is inside not from flashy things displayed in the movie. Some of the outfits and accessories didn't go well with the actresses. However, it reflected the cause of our economic collapse clearly, though. Some outfits in the movie was too heavy, unnatural.. and uncomfortable..

A sweater made from love is more precious for me than silk blouse on that movie. If I ever find my love, I think it's too late for me, but if I ever do I am going to knit a scarf for my love.

I haven't seen the first movie or the tv series.

One fears the film portends to be a bloated plastic thing lacking the finesse and frisson and casual throwaway aspects that made the TV series. Which I was not a huge fan of, but appreciated for those aspects.

We'll see.

2 cents....

I enjoyed both the TV series and the movie.

What surprises me with this poster is the exclusive focus on Carrie.

To me, they've missed a critical 75% of the success of the entire concept...Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda.

It was a shame that HBO chose to end the show especially when it was at its peak but they also did that with Six Feet Under as well which was another good show.

I do plan on seeing the new movie and thank you for creating this thread as I really didn't know there was consideration of making a sequel.

Oh, come now!

It's rumored to have Liza singing Beyonce's "Single Ladies, put a ring on it" at a gay wedding.

(OK, drop that train of thought. I can't even type it without snickering....)

hmm

I can't sleep after watching horror movies. I need someone to hold me and comfort me if I watch one of those scary movies. Yikes...

I didn't think it would be something id like. I mostly watch horror and sci fi.

Are you sure you're gay?

I saw the movie on DVD...several times in fact...I liked it because it emphasized the friendship developed over the years by these 4 women. It ended with the 4 celebrating Samantha's 50th birthday. Part 2, I believe, is about how they met in the 80's.... In the shots I've seen they are wearing Madonnna-type get ups like when she first came out. My question is...how are they going to get these older woman to look like 20 y.o. girls without them looking totally ridiculous?

Sigh

Why don't I have a neighbor like him? I have a pool but only my neighbor's spoiled kids or their grandmothers come to swim.

I'll watch the Sex in the City sequel--especially if it features another steamy shower scene revealing Gilles Marini's stunning ass and fleeting full-frontal.

For those who missed the movie, Marini is the French actor who appeared as Samantha's usually naked Malibu neighbor, Dante:

Oui! Oui! Pass the popcorn.

You read my mind. I think the poster is a great shot, the glasses are killer, but the series was an ensemble. It makes me wonder if there's some behind the scenes bickering going on.
