I met one of the retired escorts from my past last week. He told me that he's straight now and living with a girl friend. It shocked me. I felt so sorry for him that I gave him a hug (well it felt good , maybe I had another reason for giving him a hug, he smelled so good). Iv known a few guys over the years like that. They get hurt by other men that wont be faithful or other reasons might end the relationship so they end up dating women with the hopes of a better life or they don't date at all. I know a guy that's 32 and hasn't been on a date since 2002 he just gave up. I myself experienced similar circumstances and haven't dated since 2005. Some escorts and porn stars actually are straight, even though they are "gay for pay" for awhile. Straight porn stars tend to leave the business, get married to a woman and persue other interests. Some merely pursuade themselved that they have become straight, and will probably return at some time in their lives.

I have always thought that most people are bisexual and that it a matter of degree. Many people are overwhelmingly straight while others are overwhelmingly gay. Others are more in the middle. Furthermore, I believe there are times in life when one is more one than the other. I am probably way wrong on this, but it is what I think. Is this possible - I relize it is a far different reading than the ones expressed in this thread.

I think 19 is a bit young to worry so much on that. It's not the end of the world.

 

Personally I love dating. I may end up meeting people who arent compatible with me, but then again it's just 1 person and there's plenty more out there

 

It definently takes a thicker skin dating men than women. Women don't go around trying to mack with men the same way guys do. Not to say that going straight is a guarantee to be free of any of the things we go thru, cause thats just being nieve. And then when you add in kids and baby's daddys...its even harder to break away in many str8 relationships.

 

I just think as long as I let go when things clearly aren't going well, it'll save me alot of time. I just recently had to let go of someone that wasn't working out anymore, but "I've got a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night!"

Do the guys you date know what you do for a living? Reason I ask i think it would make dating even harder most people will not date a escort or put up with it once things got serious. My massage business always suffered when I dated. Happyguy, it may depend on how you define gay, straight or bisexual. I think the proper question is whether the person is sexually attracted and turned on by women, men, or both. I think almost all people are attracted to one or the other but not both. I am not convinced that anyone is attracted to both. Having said that, straight men can have sex with other men and enjoy it to a degree, but it is, in my opinion, a form of masterbation, even if oral or anal sex is involved.

...semi-gay, semi-straight, and it goes on and on. I have been in a "relationship" for 10 years. When I met my friend he was 19. He will be 30 next February. He married 4 years ago and now has a son. Human sexuality it a very complex matter. And thinking about is as a continuum from gay through bisexual to straight to perhaps asexual or even omnisexual is only one vector to consider. The another vector that readily comes to mind is time. My sexual attraction to another may and perhaps does vary over time. So what floats your boat is the intersection where these two vectors intersect (think chopsticks or knitting needles). Another vector could be biology: how your endocrine system functioning these days. But I'll stop there. I never did understand how those girls knitted those argyle socks.

Is it very common for straight/married escorts to take up male-to-male escorting as a career? I inquire about this because two different escorts I've hired have told me they were "married with children." I think it depends on how you look at it. allot of these gay for pay guys claim to be str8 because the gay sex they have is only for exchange for money and they have no desire too be with guy outside of that. my personal definition of sexual identity is who I find an emotional connection with as well as a sexual connection. Iv never had sex with a women in my life, but if someone offered me say 5000.00 to do it I could. I wouldn't find it appealing lol but I could get through it. I don't think it would make me str8 or bi, because the emotional connection would be missing. It would be something to just to get the bills payed..

I personally don't buy the "bisexual" shtick. Anatomical studies on both animals and humans show real, physical differences between gay and straight men's brains. One sees homosexuality in the animal kingdom (I've heard there's a gay penguin couple in the Bronx zoo?), but I've yet to hear of one biologist describe a bisexual animal. Of course, that doctor who did autopsies of gay and straight men's brains never autopsied the brain of a confirmed bisexual, which I would really, really, like to see. I suspect that the escort mentioned in the original post was either straight to begin with and escorted with men for financial reasons, or he's gay and is simply trying to live a straight life because he (probably mistakenly) thinks it will be easier.
