Salt Lake City Passes Gay Rights Ordinance

With the blessing and support of the Mormon Church, the Salt Lake City Council unanimously passed a non-discrimination ordinance that protects gay citizens against discrimination in housing and employment.

Personally, I wondering if hell is starting to freeze over or if this signals a new direction by the Mormon Church. (I remain skeptical but hopeful.)

As I stated in my thread about this one step back (Maine) & two steps forward (Wa state & SLC). I hope that the momentum carries over to other cities & states.
