I understand that a security patch has been installed, and we do not have to worry about unwelcome intrusions.

 

Word got out that I was not happy to see yesterday's closure. The guys who post here get shut out when a closure happens. Since Daddy had also included a statement of his dismay over some of the discussions about escorts, it's easy to see that he was unhappy with some of our discussions. I think we all like escorts, or the concept of escorts, and have the best of intentions in discussing them. Most of the time we praise them, but occasionally we don't.

 

What we can all agree on, I hope, is that we are a fair place. We all want or intend to discuss escorts fairly. We love to exchange stories and praise the guys who have made us happy. When it's the other way around, we need to make sure we are not hurting someone, and that we approach negative issues in a positive way. That way no closures happen, and we remain a friendly place, both for escort and client.

As Lucky knows from my rants 'elsewhere' yesterday - I see things a little differently. Having slept on it, my temper has cooled but my basic belief has not changed.

 

I no longer have any confidence that this forum fulfils what I see to be it's basic purpose - to allow people to discuss escorts and escorting in a frank, open (though reasonably civilized) fashion without undue interference.

 

I haven't reached this conclusion lightly, or as the result of any single action. But having reached that conclusion, I don't feel comfortable in further participating here. As a result, I've decided to take a hiatus from the board that may be temporary or may be permanent. I've never quarrelled with the underlying principle that this was Daddy's 'sandbox' and that he gets to set the rules, but when the 'rules', and the interpretation and enforcement of them, become so uncomfortable that playing here is no longer any fun - then it's time to leave.

 

After today, I will no longer be reading or participating in the discussions here for at least the balance of the year. I'm not closing my account, should anyone wish to contact me directly, and I'm not ruling out a return down the road if I 'peek' in sometime next year and find I feel more comfortable with the board's 'climate' at that point. It's going to be tough to break the habit of a decade which was to visit and read the forum on a daily basis, even if I didn't always/often post. And I am certainly going to miss the people who have made this place what it is, what ncm2169 recently chose to call his 'cyber-home'.
