RE: Who the Hell is Talking Tina?

I'm pretty sure that Telly Savalas was the evil stepfather who winds up being Tina's victim. Unlike some of the other devil dolls/dummies, Tina was only trouble for bad people.

"Hello, my name is Talking Tina, and I DON'T LIKE YOU."

Mystery Science Theatre 3000 did its treatment on a British movie called "Devil Doll" - the ventriloquist's dummy wasn't actually evil, but was forced to do bad things by the evil ventriloquist.

what about the scary little voodoo doll that terrorized Karen Balck in Trilogy of Terror? Chuckie had nothing on that thing!

Well, obviously it was Barbie, who spawned untold millions of cases of anorexia/bulemia over several generations! Not to mention lots of seriously abominable fashion!

TALKING TINA!

Honestly now, do you even have to ask?

I'm a little embarassed for you that you felt the need to specify "from Twilight Zone". Any, even remotely, respecting faggot knows who Talking Tina is and who played the evil step-father.

Creepily yours,

Who the Hell is Talking Tina?

Sorry FFF, I have neer seen that episode so I have absolutely no idea who Talking TIna is? Who was her owner? (I hope I am still remotely a respecting faggot. I know all of the words to the Patty Duke Show theme song. Does that make up for it?)

Probably no one remembers this, but the doll that scared the shit out of me comes from an old "Night Gallery" episode back in the early 70s. An english guy brings home a beautiful china doll from India and gives it to his daughter. The doll then proceeds to tear the girl's other dolls to shreds and wreaks havoc on the house. The man ends up bitten by the doll, who's beautiful face wears a truly hideous evil grin.

Granted I was only about 8 or 9 years old at the time. But I had trouble sleeping in the dark for a long, long time.

I'd love to see reruns of those old Night Gallery episodes sometime, although I doubt they've held up well over time (kind of like how sappy Dark Shadows looks now).

I think that NIght Gallery probably has held up better than Dark Shadows (though DS was a fun series)

My question is did that episode of Night Gallery appear on the episodes when Gary Collins was appearing as an investigator into the supernatural each episode (I think he was a reporter) I remember when I saw those episodes I thought "How lame is this" and why was Mary Ann Mobley in danger in each episode. (I might be wrong but I am think- ing that she was the show psychic medium. It has been a few decades since I saw those reruns.)

RE:Dolls

I've got Devil Doll on videotape. Shitty movie but lots of fun. The most frightening for me was Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black (she of the lazy eye), which someone above already mentioned.

Believe it or not, I actually had a stuffed Phantom of the Opera when I was a kid. He wore the shocked grimace of the unmasked Phantom. Every kid needs a toy Lon Chaney, no?

The Night Gallery segment is called "The Doll", and it is still quite chilling. The best Night Gallery segments have held up just as well as the best Twilight Zone episodes. It was often a damn good show. The Mystery Channel re-ran Night Gallery recently in its original format. I hope that they do so again soon. The Gary Collins segments are NOT Night Gallerys, but episodes of an absolute SHIT series called The Sixth Sense, which aired during the early 70's also. After both shows were cancelled, Universal TV edited the hour long Night Gallery and Sixth Sense episodes into half hour shows for syndication. Most people who have seen Night Gallery only in reruns think that the Collins episodes were part of the original, which has hurt its reputation over the years.
