The difference between 13 and 17 is huge in terms of maturity and ability to consent for sexual activity. In most places in the world, a 17 year-old is of the age of consent.

I think that our own memories and common sense will tell us that only a significantly disabled 17 year-old doesn't have the capacity to understand and consent to sexual activity (in fact, a majority of 17 year-olds do have sexual activity). Yet a significant portion, perhaps a majority, of 13 year-olds do not have that abilty.

17 year-olds are also usually fully-developed sexually and either very close to or fully developed height-wise. The difference in appearance, both from a body and face perspective is marked.

When I have my complete druthers, such as when I'm hiring escorts, I usually prefer sex with guys in their late 20s, and often in the 30s, and have even hired men well into their 40s several times. Nevertheless, although I don't think I've actually ever hired a guy under 21, there are occasional guys in their late teens whom I find sexy. Taylor Lautner is an accomplished athlete (martial artist) with an exceptional physique. It's very obvious he was selected because of his beauty and his ability to generate additional millions of $$ for the movie. That's why his bare chest is featured prominently and frequently in the movie's promotional materials.

Yes, most of the time when I see guys of his age, it icks me out to think of being physical with them. A good example is Chris Colfer, the gay star of the movie series "Glee" who is 19 but for whom the idea of being physical with is rather creepy (he might blossom into someone I find attractive in years to come). Yet Madonna, in her 50s, did go out with a 19 year-old for a while.

So I don't see anything weird about being attracted to an unusually well-developed and handsome 17 year-old. Nor do I see anything wrong with consensual physical activity with him in such a place as it would be legal.
