Next March/April I plan to fly from Miami to Buenos Aires via business class. Currently I am checking the price of the ticket, and Copa Airlines seems to have the best price. My query is: has anyone at this site ever used the services of this airline, and what type of experience did you encounter from beginning to end.

I'd prefer to pay the price that I found at my particular site if this is an airline that one can trust in rendering the service of which I am accustomed (timely and superb).

Please help if you can! I plan to buy sometime in December or January of 2010, but since I always research far in advance, that is the reason for this serious query!

well

Maybe you've already checked this out but here are three sites you can get some input. COPA airlines sometimes over sell their seats. I would book American Airlines to Buenos Aires. But it's more expensive than COPA. However if you go with AA, the trip is much shorter (a direct flight) and departure time is much better. You can just sleep in the plane and ready to go when you arrive. Hope this helps. Can you book it through your company and get some discount? Anyways, Buenos Aires always reminds me of the musical Evita. Don't forget me Argentina~~~

BTW COPA business class seats are not that great check the third link and compare to AA business class (Boeing 777 Miami to Buenos Aires).

FYI Copa Airlines' Boeing 737-800 (Panama to BS) was recently added to SeatGuru, here is the link

You do realize that airfare changes at the blink of an eye. Just because you see a great deal now does not mean it'll be there tomorrow or months from now. Also it might be worth checking http://www.flyertalk.com It's been a while but they might have a forum for this COPA airlines where frequent fliers can give you inside tips on this particular airline. Happy and safe travels.

Ax and great-

Where do you ride on airlines that the service is even mostly timely and superb? Also, which airline does not over book seats?

I will concede that on some long haul, over water flights, if you are business or first, you might get good service and a nice ride but timely is more luck than skill and they all over book.

I would take AA on the MIA-EZE flight.

Best regards,

KMEM

I have flown COPA several times during the past few years and have always found their service to be very good despite my traveling in coach. I imagine their business class to be much better. I have used COPA to fly both to Rio and to Cuba more than once. Their hub is in Panama, so you know that there is a stop over there. Their planes are mostly newer versions, comfortable, and mostly on time precluding weather, etc. As for pricing, posters are right in saying that it's a toss of the dice. I bought plane tickets to the Dominican Republic for this coming New Years about a month ago. I thought that if I waited longer the cost would go up. Well, the cost is now down by $100.00. I could kick myself!

Gentlemen, I thank you for the salient advice and will research what has been given to me. This is certainly a great beginning; my dilemma has been well addressed. Thanks again!
