Anyone here using the new MyTouch 3G from T-Mobile?

Today I had a chance to use one and its an awesome device. It is very customizable has 3 home screens the ability to change the shell and add themes. The web browsing is full HTML and unlike the iPhone it will have a full flash feature in October .... Xtube on my MyTouch as I do the "my-touch" with myself

In all seriousness it really is amazing. Its data plan and overall cost is less than ATT. I am seriously considering making the switch.

You can see it at http://www.t-mobile.com and check out some details about the Google Android OS at http://www.android.com

Ryan, your heading on the thread led me to believe I was going to be reading something entirely different. Thanks for keeping me on my toes!

No real keyboard, tools on the screen when on web mode and no multi tasking. I'll pass.

Hugs,

Greg

Greg not certain what you mean by muli-tasking. You can send a text message and listen to music while checking out an Internet site all at the same time or use the GPS and listen to music at the same time so I think of this as multi-tasking. In fact the device will even work in the background scanning a friends picture account and notify you when a new photo has been uploaded.

I know there is a learning curve with a touch screen device however the keyboard is well spaced. I currently use a Blackberry and even with the full qwerty physical keyboard its cramped and I hit incorrect keys too often.

Ryan thanks for the info. The few demos I saw on youtube didn't show that the mytouch could multi task like the Pre but from what you are saying it can. For me I think multi tasking is a deal breaker. If you can't go online, fix up your calendar and listen to music while texting I'll have to pass. And yes I've done all of those things a few times since having my phone. So I say good on the mytouch :)

Hugs,

Greg

Greg glad I was able to clear that up. Actually at the moment any device that works on a 3G or RevA data connection should have the ability to multi-task on.

On the MyTouch you can check out some of the multi-tasking features on the apps videos at http://www.android.com The developers speak about it in some cases they get quite detailed.
