Are SURVIVOR contestants incredibly boring people?

One particular moment particularly shocked me in last week's (not this week's) show. It was when Judge Paschal described the South Pacifc dancers as "the most incredible thing I've seen in my life," or words to that effect. The same when he was on the cruise boat. Paschal looks like he's in his mid-50's and should certainly be able to afford to go on trips with a judge's salary. If these experiences are the highlight of his life, I think he's led a pathetic life. If he really enjoys the exotic, there are so many adventure outfits that could show him something more interesting than camping on a bug-infested beach, and watching a show far less interesting than one could catch at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Honolulu. Or he could take a real cruise. If cultural displays intrigue him, there are performances of local dancers which periodically tour the US (and I don't believe for a moment that they would be less authentic than the performance he watched). Don't these people have the imagination to do something interesting on their own?

Maybe his honor has spent so much time becoming and being a judge he hasn't had time to travel or didn't want to.

I have never travelled outside the USA and i am nearly 40 years old,could i afford to-yes do i want to-doesnt bother me much either way,i'm finally taking the plunge in the fall and am gradually coming round to the idea that there are other places id like to see but if i dont no big deal-there is still plenty of the USA i'd like to visit.

The judge is not the only boring contestant on this show!! -- like all the remaining 6 (Incidentally, I'm willing to bet he/Pascal is the winner)

 

I was in my 40's before I ever visited outside the USA and subsequently over a lot of the world - incredibly valuable experiences which I am so grateful I had the opportunities to do.

 

I guess I am very boring for watching this crap (and Amazing Race) every week (but the rest of tv is even worse.)

This is a strange show....the kind you are really into or you absolutely hate it! I have been hooked since Survivor 2, and I

think this current Survivor (4) has been the worst... maybe because my favorites (Hunter, Gabe and John) have all been voted off. But I agree with you, the ones left are SO boring. And last nights show where Kathy's son got to spend the night with her as a reward takes the cake for boring! He was an absolute dud, could hardly speak a complete sentence and was so completely out of place there. Oh well, I think the one they call Pappy will be the winner. I don't care, as long as it isn't Sean.

What got me is how they kept going on about what a "hunk" Cathy's son was. What he was was a hunk of lard. Yuck! x(

Trav, if your life is so exciting how is it you have nothing better to do with your time than watch mindless tv shows like 'Survivor'?

 

If you want to measure the 'boredom factor' in someone's life, there's no better way than to calculate how much time he spends watching television.

Just to make certain there's no confusion, I'm 2 Ls, he's 1. I am not now, no have I ever been a member of the Communist Party; and I'd rather drink whole milk than watch a single episode of Survivor.
