Hello hello!

Now that I'm wrapping up my trip in Chicago before returning for the weekend, I had the pleasure of trying out a new hotel in the Chicago area, Hotel Sax at 333 North Dearborn. It is my understanding that this hotel once used to be the House of Blues Hotel which is no more and has since been converted into this new hotel. Initially, when I booked the hotel online I was a bit concerned because it very much had the impression of a victorian style hotel. While this is not usually my type of hotel decor, I was quite surprised once I reached my hotel. The lobby is inviting but again, makes it appear as if the entire hotel will be decorated with a victorian twist though the guest floors have more of a modern spin on them with a gothic look. The room which I initially received was quite small so I quickly requested a larger room in which I was granted one due to the length of time that I had booked at the hotel.

The bed was something I will remember and would rank up there with the Westin Heavenly - needless to say very comfortable, inviting with many pillows and soft sheets. Each room has very high vaulted ceilings and is equipped with large flat screen TV's (though the TV kept having signal issues which proved to be annoying from time to time), plenty of lighting and very spacious (on the 2nd room I received) which is always nice. Each room had a fairly large sized desk with plenty of electrical outlets for all your chargeable items but there wasn't much drawer space to unpack clothes into. The closets were interesting, large enough to hang items but instead of having a door to conceal everything, a curtain was used instead which again, was interesting. Unlike most hotel bathrooms which are somewhat small, Hotel Sax had quite spacious bathroom and some of the best water pressure I have experienced in a long time for those who enjoy long, hot and powerful showers to relax in.

The hotel was rated a 4 star which I wouldn't completely agree with but it would definitely receive a 3 star at the least but could easily qualify for a 3.5 star in my book. If you're into bowling, a very nice bowling alley was located in the building along with a great restaurant which served some of the best breakfast called BIN 36. This restaurant also provides all the room service for the hotel which is also very reasonable priced compared to most places which charge unbelievable prices for some of the most basic and easiest things to make.

The hotels staff was perfect, offered a lot of advice on entertainment and directions around the city.

While I enjoyed this hotel, I know that there are other places in the city that I would book before this but all-in-all, I enjoyed the stay here.

Guest greatness

lol

;) That is very witty. I can't hire escorts right now because I am sick (not contagious ;)) Once I get better, I will definitely look into this guy.

I especially enjoyed the hotel's room service. Specifically, the service in Romann's room.;)
