I just got back from a European trip including London in which the 4/18-5/3/02 edition of SXT magazine reports in a headline reading HOBBIT HUNK FLIPS IN GAY BAR BATTLE about this handsome young man. "Hollywood hunk Elijah Wood was involved in a gay bar scuffle after a fan snapped a picture of him drinking there with a male friend, SXT can exclusively reveal. The diminutive actor, who plays Frodo Baggins in the sccessful Lord of the Rings films, chased down the fan after he saw him take a photo of him with his male pal.

Earlier, Wood, 21, and his friend visited Here, a disco in "Boys' Town," in the heart of New York's gay village. "When Elijah came in all eyes were on him," says a nightclub source. "One man even asked him to dance."

Soon after Wood and his pal left the camp atmosphere and headed to the Abbey Bar, which is full of more sophisticated gay men. While there, they were left alone until a digital camera flashed.

"Elijah ran after the guy," said one onlooker. "He was screaming and when he caught up to him he insisted that the picture be destroyed." Elijah told the man to erase the picture from his camera now or he would destroy the camera.

"The fan looked scared," another witness said. "He didn't realize is would be such a big deal to snap Elijah in a gay bar."

This is the first I've heard of this story. However, rumors about Wood have been numerous here in Utah. I personally believe what I've heard here because they seem to be very reliable sources.

It's obnoxious as hell to speculate and harass celebs. On the other hand I wonder why some celebrities don't handle it better. Tom threatens to sue everyone, and then does so, for millions. Brad Pitt just laughs the shit off. Guess which one gets more harassment.

 

A few years ago I would occasionally see photos in Odyssey Magazine of Matt Dillon in attendance at gay clubs, dancing with guys. He'd always kinda sneer at the camera, not in a threatening, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" way, but with a "whatever, you silly prick" expression. He's probably gay, but who cares? Not him. Tom on the other hand, EVERYONE wants to speculate. If Wood's running around smashing cameras, he's only amping the problem.

It may be obnoxious but I think the reason fot the speculation is that many gays are just curious. That, and a goodly portion of wishfull thinking.

Probably due to the fear of loss of income if the homophobic public decide that they are no longer believable in roles that call for Str8 types.

I had never seen the pics you refer to. And you probably will object to the following question - that just begs to be asked - as it calls for the same obnoxious speculation - but what about his good buddy? Didn't they live together at one point?

Elijah Wood in a gay bar-WHO CARES for petes sake the guy was probably just relaxing ,if he's gay good 4 him he obviously has been told like many others no doubt to stay in that closet because it might upset all those teenage girls who cream their pants over him ,the teenage boys on the other hand well..........he was probably just surprised they let him in the damn bar in the first place he only looks about 12 at the best of times.i think this is where mark anthony comes in... :7
