Is it better to tour 1 city for a longer period or 2-3 cities for a shorter period

Ok, so now I'm in the wee stages of this summer's tour planning. Right now I'm just setting dates (and placing them on my ads) so that way I can get an early start. At this point I'm looking at the last week of June and the first week of July.

So, would it be better off if I just toured 1 or 2 of the places for 1 week each (giving more time in that city), or should I do all 3, staying on average 3-4 days (giving me less time)? I'm thinking if I take off just one of the cities it'd leave off 2 flights.

Tourguides help me out, much thanks

If you're asking from a business point of view, I think you'll notice you're always busiest in the first few days in a new city. If your goal is purely financial, then the more cities the merrier. If you chose the right cities you can even bus or train between them. Before I moved out here, I used to have great luck flying into Boston and out of DC, hitting NYC in between.

This makes timing around weekends (will those be busier? less busy?) more challenging, but gives you the opportunity to sample more locales and find which work best for you. Then planning your next trip is that much easier.

Yeah I had read about the acela that goes through Philly to Boston is a good way to go; plus for a short trip like that I dont mind to avoid an airport. I just dont want to go to too many cities at once if there's enough going on in one place.

I know when I came to Dallas my 'novelty' lasted alot longer than a couple of weeks, but it could have been a combination of things which allowed that to happen; in additon to finding out about men4rent nearly 2 months later.

Since weekends are hit and miss I'd rather just do weekdays and atleast a weekend day cause you just never know. Back in Miami, Saturdays were good days but since I moved to Dallas its exactly the opposite I dont know why.

out of curiosity - do you have to get adult entertainer licenses at any of these places? in atlanta (at swinging richards), we have to pay for an annual license that costs $350.

A whaaa?? LOL. I havent heard of that one?

No, Atlanta is unique. It also requires a license to escort. (Truly. Google search it.)

Personally, I think the Acela is overrated. It costs a lot more than regular Amtrak trains and doesn't save you that much time. The only trains that are so packed that you're likely to have someone sitting next to you are the Acela.

Wow; another reason not to visit Atlanta again. Dont too much care for Georgia anyhow. I thought Texas was strict but shit....

My thoughts exactly. I'll be going to all three of these fine cities.

Dallas is home base for me and is a great location once you're established and known throughout the client community which is well connected socially. I have received a number of long-time clients through word of mouth rather than just the typical sites such as rentboy or men4now.

I meant strict as far as requiring a license to escort in Atlanta. When I mentioned Texas being 'strict' I was referring to things like blue laws, inspections, and the 2am procedures which I find outdated. Not sure how that relates to what you said about client bases and where one chooses to advertise?

Oh ok thanks, but Dallas isnt on my travel list as Im already here.

Personally I think Dallas does have a descent market but it probably does differently for some than others. Like I said before, for the size of the area; it could be better. Its a nice city but many people I run into here especially in oaklawn and uptown are just so snobby I avoid it generally unless I have to go. It seems like the people here dont want to be bothered or something. Thankfully my clients I meet arent like that ;) In fact the other week a client and I were talking about the pretentiousness here so its not just me.
