During this economic crisis I have been lying low. But there are one or three escorts I really want to see in Los Angeles. So I want to travel to L A.

Any tips on getting a good deal? I do not have to travel on any set date. That should help.

Thanks for your advice!

for hotels (and car rentals), I usually have good luck on hotwire.com...you can pick what hotel star level you want and approximate location and see what the price + taxes/fees will be, but won't know the actual hotel until after you pay with a credit card...since you're flexible on dates, alter the dates you want and see if there's an even better deal a day or two earlier or later....orbitz is more pricey, but you'll see the hotel name

priceline is OK....look at their initial offerings, then go to their "name your price" section for the same thing and offer something like 30-40% lower....again, you won't know the actual place until you pay, if you even get it.....

for airfares, the airlines' own websites can be good....look around and be flexible to see if that helps.....

there are great deals out there these days....you can try expedia, travelocity.....all the usuals

Here are some tips for traveling that I use. Myself personally I do not like the pay and then find out what you are getting sites. I have used PL once and found it nice but the thing of not knowing till I put in my cc number kind of freaks me out. Hotel wise I will scower the internet. First I will check the hotels site to see the price they are offering. Then I will head over to a couple of the sites to see the prices. Many hotels will offer to match and then take off another 10% on the lowest price you find, while some will just take the lower of the nights stay off your bill. Check the hotels site or call to make sure which program they do so you can budget. As for airfare the airlines site is usually the best bet. BUT there have been a few times where Orbitz has come in handy and saved me a few bucks. Orbitz also has a deal of if someone buys the same ticket as you (airline, time and dates) at a lower rate then you, you will be refunded the difference. If you'd like a list of third party sites I use to compare prices for hotels let me know and I will forward them to you or post them here.

Hugs,

Greg

http://www.farecompare.com/ (Not bad but have found cheaper stuff else where)

Another site worth mentioning is http://www.flyertalk.com If you have specific questions about certain airlines this is the site to ask. The folk are a mix of road warriors and those that work in the hotel and airline ind. and can answer just about any question you might have. This site is chopped full of info!

Greg

P.S. I also forgot! Some airlines also will match lower fares if found within 24 hrs. But be careful because you might be hit with a change fee and a fee for talking to an agent on the phone. Keep this in mind if a lower fare is found in 24 hrs.
