The thread concerning the alledged exploitation of young street kids has long ago been seriously derailed and is threatening to carry on a life of it's own.

 

It is no longer about exploitation - it is 100% devoted to the give and take repartee of board members (and I know I can most definately be counted among them) versus a tedious member commonly known as Regulation, AKA Della the Dyke, Pope Reg the Ist.

 

So...... why don't we just wind down the original thread, before it consumes all the available space left on the internet, and those who get a chuckle out of baiting the poor old fool, can do so under this thread.

 

I fully realise that there is a danger of this thread growing as long - or longer - than the original, because Della will NEVER be satisfied, if she can't have the last word. At least it will give us a bit more time before Armageddon strikes and will not muddy the waters for any who still want to debate the exploitation issue - God forbid!

Those who get a chuckle out of baiting and name calling like the above language are not too likely to have any serious interest in the problems of street kids. If you enjoy being nasty to other people you probably are not cut out for charitable work.

 

I took a look at the old thread. I see that the last person to add a post (#115) that doesn't say anything about the issue but just insults other posters is you. If you think that's a waste of bandwidth then just stop doing it. Creating another thread for it is not going to save any space on the internet.

That's not really what this is all about. It's about the lunacy of Reg insisting on always having the last word on EVERY subject while implying that his viewpoint is the only one acceptable.

That's only because #115 is quite recent and Reggie Baby hasn't sucumbed to his itch yet.

If he wanted to stop it, Reg could accomplish that in a heartbeat. If he'd just shut up, this thread would be dead! - and a lot of others as well, come to think of it.

You know what? I didn't REALLY think it would conserve internet space. Just my sense of humour showing through. If it doesn't mesh with anyone else sense of humour - that's OK too. I just wish more of us HAD a sense of humour.

Ummmmm, after taking a look at the other thread I get the feeling you started this one because people had stopped responding to your posts in that one. I think this is all about getting you some more attention.

I go along with Lucky. After contributing almost 25% of the posts in that thread (as well as plenty of others) you are not the one to tell other people to shut up. If you want them to shut up, set an example by doing it yourself.

Attention is the last thing I care about. However, if it was true [that I was craving attention] then the best thing you could do would be to ignore me. Funny you could not resist the temptation.

 

I probably started this thread because (a) I was bored - that happens a lot, and (b) it amused me - I've told you before the only reason I post is for my own amusement! And yes - before you say it - I'm easily amused. Stupid people like me, usually are.

I don't really want them to shut up. Getting Reg to shut up is

next to impossible - and if he did - there goes my amusement!
