I am planning a trip to Buenos Aires in a month's time. Could anyone tell me where is a good place to stay? Which area? Any hotel suggestions?

I plan to stay for a week and would like to explore the cultural sites as well as the gay venues.

Any good escort sites? Any bars/discos with escorts/hustlers? Thankful for any info.

Do a Buenos Aires check here, as the archives have some solid information. I'll write specifics for you once I obtain the web addresses and other information from my "favorite's" section on my computer, but I think that most of what I will give you has already been placed into the archives at this site. (For the specific forum, click on this particular one: "Escorts South...."

At http://TheGayguide.com.ar you'll find some salient and interesting information. I used the guide services of the webmaster in 2005; he no longer serves in this capacity. At http://www.2Portenios.com, there is a "gay access" section as well as "A Forum." Go to this forum; there you will find info. re: bars and clubs as well as when they're open, etc.

I'd stay in a hotel in Recoleta if I were you-- the area is easily accessible to other places and barrios in BA. You might desire to hire a guide for orientation purposes if not for anything else. That information is provided in the archives, too. There are three recommendations, I think.

Go to http://www.gaytravelargentina.com and check out what is available.

After doing your search and reading-- ask additional queries of us. I am always willing to assist and help a fellow traveler to one of my favorite places. If you'd like-- send me a private email here.

Lastly-- do not stay at the HJ Florida. Note the reasons in the thread/responses in the archives. I stayed at the Hotel HJ DaVinci but did not like its location per se. ...very comfortable and gay/gay friendly. ...horrible breakfast. If you stay in Recoleta--you have a lot of places to go for a nice early morn meal.

You might be interested in staying at the Concord Callao Suites. If after doing all of your reading and thinking, contact Drey at http://www.gaytravelargentina.com if this facility is of interests to you. I plan to stay in a studio when I visit in October.
