Hey Guys,

I just watched Larry King and his show was about today's funeral for the Queen Mother. There were a lot of outtakes from the pagentry of the funeral today. Did any of you notice how hot those Irish guards were who carried the coffin. It must have been so heavy, because they ran their arms across, under the coffin and rested their hands on the shoulders of the guy on the opposite side. You will probably think I am sick, but I found that rather sexy!

I also found the younger men who walked behind the coffin pretty hot too. Did anyone else notice?

Sick? Not at all. The Queen Mum was a notorious fag hag, all camelias, jerseyed jockeys and pink gin. She'd have loved the fussy, homoerotic touches.

I read that she had planned her own funeral, years in advance, right down the the smallest detail. So perhaps what you were watching was no accident.

I have enjoyed the luxury of travelling to London several times a year for almost 2 decades (work/pleasure). It is truly one of the worlds great cities. I have said on several occasions in this message centre that the rent boys in London are to be matched by no other city in the world and I stand by that !!!

Several friends of mine have told me the 'OLD' girl had been planning her funeral for more than 2 decades . . . so you can be sure her input was significant. I am sure no one will take offence with this link ... ENJOY!!!

You're definitely NOT sick! I watched some of the proceedings on the LK Show and a great deal on CSpan, and I, too, found those hot numbers touching each other's shoulders to be a true "turn on"! But even this did not stir my libido more than watching Prince Charles's oldest son. He is the epitome of senuality; the "boy" is Hot personified. I just viewed and viewed and thought and thought! My we are some horny dudes!

Hey guys,

Thanks for your thoughts. I agree, Prince William is really hot, but so is Prince Andrew (who is supposedly bi) and they say Prince Edward is gay, though married. I also thought Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips (wore a morning coat like Edward) is also very hot and athletic. He walked beside William's younger brother with red hair.

I saw several articles and interviews about the planning issue. Apparently every senior royal's funeral is planned in advance for twenty or more years... and they all have input. Princess Margaret had chosen all her hymns, even guests apparently. It is a typical British thing, and I guess that is why the pull off those elaborate ceremonies without a hitch.

Finally, I read a truly humorous story a few years ago in Time Magazine about The Queen Mother. It was repeated in a few stories after her death. It is true that she was a fag hag, only hired gay men to work for her. They were more dependable and had no family ties, so they suited her. One day about five years ago, she had been out unveiling a plaque and opening a hospital or something. In her late nineties, she was understandably tired upon arriving home. She went up to her private sitting room, kicked off her pumps, took off her hat and called downstairs for the butlers.

No one replied, she tried three times. Finally, she walked out to the top of the stairs, and yelled:

I don't know about you old queens down there, but this old queen is tired and she needs a stiff gin and tonic, NOW! Absolutely true story. No wonder we are attracted to her great-grandsons and pallbearers!

I love it!

There's a certain "power" (that's not quite the right word) in living to be old enough that you're untouchable, and not be in a position where anyone can take anything away. (What would they do? Fire her?) She could say what was really on her mind.

You GO girl, wherever you are!

At the risk of appearing to quibble, the Queen Mum had no constitutional role whatsoever. The power to which you refer, I think, comes from having bags and bags of money. But then maybe that's what you meant. ;-)

Exactly. They couldn't fire her!

She actually invented her title herself: Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Even that wasn't "official". The wags said it was so she'd forever outrank her daughter, two "Queens" to one. ;-)

Yeah, but no matter how you slice it, she was a Queen! (if you want to be serious, crowned at her husband's coronation - her real title would have been Queen Dowager, yech) But I will always think of her as a Queen who was served by a bunch of Queens!

terrific!
