Trixx Gone?

 

Is this true? Or is it just Trixx recycled under another name?

 

The Trixx/Club XL/TrixxXL/Trixx saga is one of the saddest in all of strip club history, wasted opportunities, inept management, lack of effort, lack of creativity, etc etc. It would be nice to think that it is laid to rest and being replaced by some fresh blood-----and getting the quality dancers that a large metropolitan area should have and deserves. I finally stopped going, it was just too sad and frustrating. I'll be anxious to hear more

2Xcess in Providence

 

It's the same club as Trixx but with new management, mostly same staff, and last Saturday there were 21 dancers.

Okay, new management, but does that mean same owner, or new blood? And was it 21 knockout dancers, with some variety and a range of type, or the same old assortment of mostly anorexic twinky types that had increasingly come to dominate the stage at Trixx? The long term drift there had been very much away from a variety, and any attempt at Montreal style muscle to just beanpole types. The patrons were usually much hotter than the dancers, overall....not a good sign. I know I sound critical, but the place really was always frustrating....they'd bring in a porn star, get a big crowd (and the porn star nights were always really poorly timed and managed), and then the rest of the time, the quality of dancers, and of show, would continue to decline, never seeming to occur to ownership that better quality would probably lead to bigger crowds. One probably can't hope for the gaiety, but in providence, a city full of hot men in a highly populous area bounded by new york and boston, it seemed awfully small town and amateur, espectially for the amount of money one had to pay there....it defied logic that they couldn't put out a more quality product.

 

LOL, and that's my story and I'm sticking to it :-)

Thanks for the report, bellboy. 21 dancers! Sounds like a bonanza! Yay! Were Big Josh, Sweet, and Dean among them? I've been coming to Providence for Trixx and its predecessors once a year in the last seven years. Somehow I always end up finding at least two really cute dancers each time. I'm hoping I won't be disappointed this summer.

Yes, Big Josh and Sweet were there last week. Twelve Caesars and Tramps, downtown bars from years ago, had a great range of dancers who came from New Haven to New Hampshire. 2Xcess seems to draw its dancer mostly from the Providence area. Muscle types are few and far between but I prefer a more average to twink build and I have usually found 2-3 dancer that float my boat. The fun is usually more in interacting with the off-stage boys than it is in their on-stage dances And yes, sometimes there are some pretty cute customers there too. In the last few weeks there have been some new dancers every week, so it's hard to tell whether things will stabilize. Some folks must be making little or no money when there are so many boys there.
