some celebs

George C Scott, NYC - he exited a taxi that I was wanting to hail.....he just smiled as he exited as I was grabbing the door to be sure I had made my claim...

Prince, airplane, sat behind him on a cross country flight. just slept the whole flight, his body guard ensured no one got near him

Julia Child, airplane, sat next to her. Just a polite smile and a goodbye when deplaning.

Gregory Peck, train in England, he paid a fare for a couple who sat in first class car in error, i immediately recognized the voice when he asked conductor how much they owed. He paid the fare for them, very old couple that spoke no English.

Buddy Ebson, Universal Studios, he was exiting a set on the lot as I walked by.

Sir Elton John, London, shopping in Harrods, did not attempt to ask for his autograph as he was looking at food court...so was I, just gave him a quick smile.

Keith Haring, London, so drugged out that he gave me a hug at a party and then proceeded to pass out ----

Ted Danson and his then wife, forget her name.... restaurant Pacific Palisades, he hit the back of my friends head with his elbow, small tight space in restaurant, was very apologetic, made a quip he only elbowed the people he liked.

....and several porn "star" encouters but that is for another thread. :-)

on the IRT.....

I spotted Ethan Hawke standing a few feet away in a subway car. As often happens, I looked at him a few seconds longer than I would have regarded anyone else. I thought I knew him from somewhere. He grimaced a bit. Then I realized he was the man who shoots seed all over town. Come on. You're famous, you ride the subway and you think people won't pay notice.

He came over and sat next to me. I groped him and he hauled out a fat eight incher.

Well, actually, he pulled out a book (prose novel) and read it.

Susan Sarandon also turned away sharply one day when I simply recognized her on the street. Come on, folks. If you can't deal with being recognized, check in at a monastary.

Then there was the time I pulled my cart up next to Jessica Lange at the Whole Foods coffee section. Didn't notice ol' Jess was standing there. I joked with the sales person when she said something about "drip." Jess laughed. I stood in line beside her and Sam at checkout. They were bickering about something.

Also eyed Ben Affleck at the old Balducci's. Thought I'd met him at a gay party.

Stephen Sondheim on 57th St. wearing a "West Side Story" cap.

Tony Perkins walking his dog, Tony shirtless (hot chest) in leather pants and stud belt.

Richard Gere, Woody Allen, Newman and Woodward (often), Chelsea Clinton, the great Garbo (sat behind her at Katharine Hepburn play), Redford jogging early morning in a park behind my flat, Jackie O at several film revivals (someone shushed her when she chatted during opening credits).........

Oh yes, Gotham's got celebs.

Rock Hudson

Years ago there was a gay sauna on 57th Street where I saw Rock Hudson in the nude. He looked just the way he looked in films. Tall and handsome. His family jewels were average.

Another time I saw Caesar Romero walking on 46th Street. Tall and handsome. He too looked the same as in his films.

I once worked with Pierce Brosman. He is a friendly and thoughtful man.

Some years ago I worked with Morgan Fairchild. She's a friendly and very down to earth person.

Tom Tryon was a real hunk and I once had breakfast with him and a friend of mine who was a close friend of Tom's.

Enough name dropping.

Damn . . .

Haven't really seen, much less talked to, a celebrity. But then again I live in Chicago. Unless, of course, you count Miss Conchita Fiesta, a very highly regarded drag queen here.

Chicago Celebrities

Well, I was going to say yes, but then I looked at the very old video on youtube, and, well, perhaps in her next life!

Oh, Chicago.

There is Vlasta the "Polka Queen". Does she count?

LOL That was great! Reminds me of the German restaurant in Lincoln Square that had a polka band doing cover songs, they seemed to really dig Elvis the night we were there. I wonder if she is still around? Just for shock value be funny to hire her for a party.

Hugs,

Greg

No, duh . . .

Duh! the president comes from Chicago. You never saw him? Plus there is that great escort David Young....

I have never actually seen Barak Obama or David Young for that matter. Unless you mean on TV and the threads certainly do not seem to mean that.

Amazed

I'd rather meet David Young (again) than Obama. So give him a call and tell him that Lucky sent you. That'll qualify you for a big discount from his new rates. Well, not a big discount, but maybe a warmer hello.

Anyway, this little thread is up to 2000 views. I never imagined that when I started it. Some threads go straight to video, and some don't. I can never predict which ones.

I couldn't quickly find the clip, but she does a bit where she talks about being in the bathroom with her steel worker husband after work. He talking a long hot bath and she sitting on the toilet with her accordian playing him polkas. Might be from the same Johnny Carson episode. As far as I know she is still around.

Levi meets Nick Lachey

With all of the talk about Levi Johnston on the Tyra Banks show, I notice that teen heartthrob Nick Lachey is also on the show. i wonder if this celebrity encounter will lead to anything. Levi can't be gay though because his outfit for the show is something no gay man would wear...I think. I'll have to wait to see what Nick wears...maybe they can trade ideas...
