Not only that, the Yankees will be starting in their brand new ball park. So, since I will be in town next month, I bought a ticket. At first, I thought that all of my boyhood dreams had been granted, as I got a ticket right smack behind home plate. Then I saw the details:

That's right- $900 for one ticket! Well, that fantasy lasted as long as A-Rod's erection with Madonna. But I continued on, paying $99 for a decent seat. That's a lot too, but it is a brand new stadium, and I have only the one day to go. I'm seeing the Oakland As. Last year I went to a Padres game. Two seats cost a total of $74. (The last Yankee ticket I bought cost me $80). A play would be expensive too, so either way, it costs money to go out in New York.

A friend of mine wanted to buy tickets as well. One set of tickets was over $2,600 per seat. Granted they were behind home plate but that's absurd.
