Friends are coming for AIDS Life Cycle tour in April, don't know where to put them in my own city!! Anyone recommend a B&B in the Castro???

I used to always put people up in the Parker Guest House on Church Street, a very quick walk to the Castro. As recently as a year ago a friend stayed there and said nice things about it. It calls itself an Edwardian mini-mansion (they had those back then?).

Go to Trip Advisor (yes that's how they spell it) and search B&B's in SF. Although B&B's are not my thing me liking my privacy they are reviewed on the site. Hope your friends enjoy SF as much as I do.

AIDS Life Cycle have some sponsor hotels for the ride. Their prices are discounted on to all ALC participants and families and friends. So if your friends cannot find a B&B you may want to check to travel planner on ALC site.

Also, the ride starts on May 31, 2009 at Cow Palace in Daly City and ends on June 6, 2009 in Los Angeles. Closing ceremonies will be at VA Center.

Parker house is great. Right by Dolores park, close to Muni (public transit) and the Castro. Beautiful rooms. And naked men everywhere (where, maybe that last part is only true when I am there). LOL

I've stayed at The Willows about 4 years ago or so and thought it was really nice. They're located at Church and Market.
