I enjoy trying out new escorts as they appear, especially because they are often not jaded. This weekend I was in NYC, and there was a really hot new guy on Rentboy. His price listing said "varies", as I have seen a lot of lately. With the current political climate, especially with events in NY, I don't like to discuss prices for specific activities on a first meet, but I am very generous and prepared for NYC prices.

 

He showed up, better looking than expected, we had a nice scene, though we didn't do everything we had spoken of. We did do some watersports and we spent sometime chatting, total time about an hour and twenty minutes. He was really nice, and I was prepared to give him a couple of hundred on top as a tip.

 

When he mentioned he wanted $800.00 to $1,000.00 I nearly fell over laughing, thinking he was being funny, but he was serious. He said the usual scene was $200.00 but because of the piss, he had to charge extra. The thought of that was just too funny for me. On one hand, I was disappointed, because it seemed very "Craigslist", but on the other hand....it was funny because he seemed to think the act of pissing was soo wild and unusual that it deserved that much extra. I tried to explain that in NYC, there were plenty of sexy guys willing to piss for less, and that he should reconsider his future expectations.

 

He left with what I had planned on giving him, not the $800.00.

 

I understand there is a lot of money especially in NY, I even have a little bit of it; but does the amount of money one has make one oblivious to the marketplace? I am sure there are a few guys who would pay that, maybe because it makes them feel good, or out of ignorance of the market. As an affluent man, I don't wouldn't buy a Benz for $200,000 when I could get a nearly identical one for $100,000.

 

I'm not down on the guy, he was fresh and excited, sexy and intelligent. My interest is more about the clients. Any thoughts?

 

Edited: For typo and to mention that most escorts I know also don't like to discuss specifics on the first meet. I hire about 4 times a month on average. I've been in the market about 9 years now.

My only thought is that I hire about 2-3 times a month and I ALWAYS discuss price and specifics BEFORE meeting. I never want a surprise because I never like to haggle.

 

In my experience, a bargaining discussion has always led to a less that satisfying experience. I don't subscribe to the "if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it" school. In what other business do they tell you how much you owe after you've consumed the item you purchased?

I usually always discuss price in advance when we have even short a relationship, but that first meet seems very iffy to me. I would rather end up in a situation of haggling,which I hate; than in a room less comfy than my hotel if you know what I mean. Definitely agree about the "if you have to ask..." business. Got that on Craigslist too often.

 

Sadly I love kink, and there does need to be additional discussion with many providers over extras. Though there are a couple of long term guys I see who see it all as part of the total package........thus the long term relationship!

 

 

 

 

 

In terms of kinky stuff and the first meet; how do you guys who like kink handle it? Is everyone very comfortable discussing price without knowing the guy first? Not putting your preference down at all Dickho....but do you ever get concerned about a possible setup these days?

 

I suppose the best way is to set a vanilla scene for the first visit and go from there....it justs seems like a waste to me, as it normally is in NY $$$$ or LA $$$...and paying for vanilla just doesn't seem like a good use of money.

As far as the set up issue goes why not just hire those who have been reviewed on either of the two sites? As for the kink stuff, on the rare occasion that I have done ws there was no extra charge and just considered it part of the package. Although ws isn't totally my cup of tea at least being on the receiving end it seems silly to charge extra for something that doesn't take a lot of prep time. Now if one was asking for a total leather, bd, sm thing then yeah I could see charging a little more for that because of the prep time that usually goes with it and the huge amount of trust and respect that also comes along. But again charging extra for ws especially what the escort in question asked for was mad crazy.

I think you are probably correct. I generally try to get a feel for a guy first, to see how he reacts to a scene request and he was so enthusiastic....oh well, I missed the cue somewhere. I certainly agree with you on that price floor JT. My general outlay is about $400 to $500 per hour in The City for my very kinky play. However, that said, piss in conjunction with some very basic play, does not merit $800 do you think? F/F of any stripe places more of a burden on a provider than giving a golden shower.
