Mike G of Magnum sent me an email saying the info that "SHOWBIZGAY" posted and sent out on the Gaiety NYC Yahoo group was incorrect.

 

The cover is $50 NOT $100.

Taz... I also received that same mass mailing from "showbizguy"/jaynnj from his Gaiety YOHOO group saying that the admission to Magnum54 was $100. That it included 1 "free" drink and a meal. I'm happy Mag Man cleared this matter up. When I first read that I was really confused as to what was the actual cover. IMO, $50 is higher than any other club I've attended, but $100 is prohibitive.

 

Perhaps Mag Man should approve and proof read all information that is being posted about his club. It's my understanding that "showbizguy"/jaynnj's mailing went out to hundreds of potential customers, many of whom do not read this site. "Showbizguy"/jaynnj's error might turn out to be a very, very costly mistake.

 

I've said this many times before, these clubs should work with experienced individuals. They should be able to demonstrate professionalism and friendliness toward customers so mistakes like this don't happen. First we had "julio11", with his nasty attitude, discouraging many of us from attending and now we have "showbizguy"/jaynnj, sending out incorrect information where Mag Man has to post a retraction.

 

I wish Magnum54 a successful opening and I'm looking forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Iam sure once MAGMAN gets open everything will fall into place.

 

It is good news that he is going to charge women more to try to keep them out. From my experiance most are cheep and dont want to pay dancers for anything.

If you look at the Manhattan listings in Rentboy today, there seem to be quite a few high profile porn stars who are visiting New York this weekend (Robert Van Damme, Cody Miller, etc). I wonder if they are here for the new club tonight.

Sadly, the answer is no. The Magnum54 lineup could definitely have used these guys.
