I was just watching some reruns of the series Oz and reading the thread in one of the other forums about a "clean bottom".

With all the man-sex in jail, how do they manage to keep it clean? Do they distribute free "enemas?"

Seriously, I never thought about it until now but how do they do it?

If you've ever toured Alcatraz while on vaca in SF you'll notice that all of the toilet stalls (similar to those in the termases in Rio) have metal hoses to the right of the bowl about a yard from the floor. There's a nifty handle, right next to the clip on the wall holding the hose up, for turning water on and adjusting the flow. The prisoners use these hoses purge their bung holes on any unwanted fecal matter prior to all butt fucking. (I understand that at the newer houses of correction, they have attachments to add flavors and scents to the water, but I have been unable to verify this independently.)

These hoses were placed in jails around the turn of the century as part of a hygiene campaign by Anil Interkours, a warden in Philadelphia orginally from Bombay, and his assistant, Betty Bigbottom. The innovation quickly spread throughout the country.

I hope this helps.

Later.

PS. I understand that even today in almost every prison, the prisoners shout, "strip your clothes, shove up the hose, then touch your toes" while doing their calisthenics every morning.

thank for the info. I really found it interesting. But even when they clean up, I would imagine that they still need to get free condoms. Which means that they must be given them. Does that mean that we as tax payers pay for condoms so that inmates can have sex?

It seems a little strange to me.

Well - it's probably a lot cheaper than treating them for HIV.

Your question is bizarre! No, inmates DO NOT receive condoms in jails/prisons in this country. This has been controversial since the advent of AIDS. Unless I am wrong, I would like to be informed otherwise (factually)
