Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year. Will the clubs in Montreal be celebrating Halloween primarily on the 31st -- or the weekend prior, as is often common in the U.S.?

I have been to Montreal when Halloween fell on a Friday or Saturday, and it was great fun! But this question -- put to me by a friend -- has me stumped. He can certainly be there on Wednesday, but he can not be there on the prior weekend. So if all the fun is happening the prior weekend, he's thinking that it might be better to go at another time. (And isn't Wednesday Ladies' Night at Stock? Now THAT might be frightening!)

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you,

I'm not sure about the Montreal clubs but in Vancouver, Halloween is always celebrated on the 31st regardless of what day it falls on, although if it is a Sunday, some places would do it on Sat the 30th.

But if it is during the week, the actual day would be the day.

And that, of course, would fall on Lady's Night. unfortunately.;(

As does, I believe, the upcoming Mr. Stock contest. It will be a new dynamic, to be sure -- but perhaps it will create greater, enthusiastic crowds.
