I was in South Fla this past weekend (Thurs-Monday). It was my first visit to Boardwalk since last winter. The bar area has been redone and looks nice. The private area is lousy. They got rid of the couches and have put in four massage chairs. These are the kind you might find in an airport or mall where you can get a 15 minute back massage. Boardwalk has them in the four corners of the room facing the walls. No one goes in for a back massage so you have to sit in the chairs backwards to be able to face the dancer. They are very uncomfortable this way and I think this is why few people were in the room on the four nights I visited. I went back 3 times with different dancers and got up from the chair so sore the experience was terrible. The dancers tell me this new set up is seriously cutting into their earnings. Whatever idiot at Boardwalk dreamed this up should be fired. Also, despite what has been previously reported, the DJ booth is still in the private room, just separated by a sheer black curtain. But the DJ and MC's and management are constantly coming in and out of the room so there is little privacy.

I was at Boardwalk this past Thursday and Friday night. I went down to Florida with an escort from Boston that I travel with a lot. He ALWAYS attracts a lot of attention - and is typically the best looking (and built) guy in any bar and Boardwalk was no expection.

However, we had a good time and actually found a hot muscle dancer that we took back to the hotel.

I too found the private area not very condusive to real action.
