Detroit Gay Area/Local Newspaper?

Could you guys please tell me where the gay area of Detroit is located.Also,what's the name of the local gay newspaper/magazine?

I used to live in that area and really can't say it's got a specific "gay" area. But, Detroit can be a very dangerous area and some of the bars are in high crime areas. Be very careful.

 

I usually went across the bridge or through the tunnel to Windsor, Ontario (Canada). Really enjoyed the Happy Tap Lounge and their strippers.

 

I believe the local gay magazine is called "Cruise". There are some bars in Oakland County (around Bevery Hills).

When in Detroit I enjoy a foriegn exchange across the border in Windsor. Your money goes farther at the casino and I always enjoy an evening at Club Happy Tap. Dancers in the basement and friendly bar upstairs. I understand it changed owners a while back and I've only been there once since then. As always I enjoyed the dancers, totally naked and rock hard:-)

The best gay area near Detroit is CHICAGO!!

 

There's really not much happening in Michigan. I recommend the short drive to Chicago. The Happy Tap in Windsor is closer but Chicago has much more to offer (including me). ;-)
