Funny you should ask, I was just coming her to post something for those who mentioned missing LaFleurs and Stellas for latino lap dancers because I found a promo for a night at Boysroom (Ave A and 1st) that features same from the guy who worked Cats and LaFleurs. Perhaps worth a look.

I've only been to the Boy's Room, Manhattan's lower east side, 9 Avenue A at 1st Street, on Monday night and have never had a bad time. You have to check to see what's really going on at Boy's Room as they have different events on different nights; check out HX magazine or NEXT magazine, both free in the gay bars and in some of the vender boxes in Chelsea/Village. They have a $5.00 cover on Monday evening to pay for the dance contest run by Tommy G. Also, Monday's has an open bar from 10pm-11pm or something like that.

 

Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night check out the Tool Box at 1742 2nd Avenue at 91st Street as they have dancers who certainly will get up close & personal. They've just been bought by new owners so we'll see how it works out. Once nice thing is a happy hour 2-4-1 every night from 6pm-8pm or something like that, except for Monday which is now 2-4-1 all night. Tuesday's has a $3.00 cover charge to pay for the dance contest run by Tommy G.. HOWEVER...Toolbox, like I said, has been bought be a new owner, Matt, who's young and really hot. His boyfriend, John is MUCH older and is a bartender there on Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat. I haven't been there this week but I'll probably be by this weekend and see what's happened, if anything.

 

Another new place, on Wednesday evenings, is Speed, which I've only been to once but it really looks promising. There's a $5.00 cover charge and is also run by Tommy G. (Magic Touch Productions) which promotes Mondays at the Boy's Room and Tuesdays at the Tool Box. I don't have the exact address but speed is located in Manhattan on 39th street between 5th & 6th. Again, a dance contest and a $5.00 cover.

 

I like going to these events because the dancers are men and not twinks and the majority of the patrons are men and not twinks because I'm attracted to men older than I and that's where I go to find them! Hope this helps.

Can you let us know what time the fun gets going at Boy's Room?

On Mondays (tonight) the Boy's Room opens at 10:00pm and they have an open bar (well drinks) until 11:30pm. Although dancers are still arriving during that time, there are some already working the room. The dance contest begins at 12:30am (which really means 12:40am) and runs between 30-40 minutes after which there's a raffle (you received a ticket upon arrival, $5.00 cover charge) and you can win porno.

 

Hope you can make it...or just take a disco nap!

Will be in NYC for a short visit. Can anyone give any more info about Speed on 39th Street? Sounds like it is near my hotel. Are the guys available for privates? Since it's a short trip and mostly business, is there any point in going there early? Wednesday is the night to go? Thanks for any info.

It can be very fun. You can usually find 2 or 3 out of the many dancers who show up whom you'll like. The little sofa lounge to the side is discretely lit. Free well drinks until 11 only.
