Surely you are joking! "Very few of the dancers there do escorting" is just the opposite of what I have experienced. However, the dancers do not advertise nor do they call their service "escorting." The dancers call their service "doing a private" at your hotel.

Although I personally cannot attest that Manuel does privates, many other dancers have offered (and I have accepted) their offers to do a "private."

If you frequent the Stock or Campus enough times, the dancer gets to recognize you. If you are civil and friendly to the dancer, he will be less reluctant to go off with you.

Most dancers do not want to get the reputation of doing privates. Nonetheless, several dancers I have personally known told me that they rely on "privates" in order to pay their bills and buy clothes et cetera.

There are definately 2 categories of guys at Stock - those who do and those who don't... it does help if you get to know the guy but there are several at Stock who I have become quite friendly with and they still won't come to my hotel at any price.

Some of those who don't are extremely adamant and just can't be bought.

In my experience, "private" visits are more common among dancers at the other clubs (e.g. Campus, Adonis).

Last trip north, I didn't spend much time at Stock because many of the guys (like Manuel or Riccardo or Kirk) do not seem to want to make themselves accessible to everyone. They seemed to do their stage shows and disappear or walk through the club purposely not making eye contact with patrons. Obviously, they weren't motivated to make new business and/or they are taken care of by their regulars so they do not want to be bothered. Over the past trips, I've had some offers to do a private at the hotel and I only accepted the one time. His name was Xavier (latin looking hottie) and he was very charming and interactive in the private dance at the club, but what showed up at the hotel the next day was a cold fish. (I think there are some reviews on this site for him which bear a striking resemblance to my experience. Too bad I didn't know about this site before that encounter.) Kind of soured me on taking up any future offers. Manuel is most definitely a handsome guy. He just doesn't come off as a fun guy-IMO.

Manuel is one of very few classy guys at Stock. I don’t go to Montreal often but every time Manuel sees me at Stock, he acknowledges and talks to me. He’s an interesting fellow who likes exotic places (he’s traveling to India this year).

In answer to the previous question about privates, I have not asked Manuel (I suspect he doesn’t) but when I did a private in the back room with him, he asked whether I wanted the $10 or $20 dance; sheeplessly I chose the $10 dance but enjoyed it just the same.

A friend of mine had a couple of privates with Manuel. He was the one dancer who did not push for the $20. In fact, he said he did exactly the same thing whether it was $10 or $20 - just that the curtain would be closed. My friend opted for the $10 and was quite happy after 2 dances.
